What to expect from Ballet training for the young child
We are committed to making ballet a positive experience for every child. We curate a classroom where dancers will learn about movement, their bodies, music, story telling, and cooperation with others. We believe that the first qualification for success as a ballet dancer is to truly love ballet so our first job is to nurture that passion.

The curriculum for preparatory ballet is a modified sequence of exercises based in the Vaganova method syllabus that students will continue perfecting in level 1a and beyond. As instructors teach the exercises to students, they will inform them about correct body placement and inform their muscular execution of the steps. At this stage, we are working to help them understand and master the principles of posture and external rotation of the legs. Preparatory ballet builds young dancers bodies' for the demands they will face as they begin learning classical technique in level 1.

We expect students at this stage to have a great time and to learn the value of hard work.
